What sizes and frame styles are available?

Packages run from single (92 × 187 cm) through to king (183 × 203 cm). Frame styles vary — metal platform bases for a minimal look, timber-panel frames for warmth, and upholstered frames if you want a padded headboard. Most packages include a foam or spring mattress rated at medium firmness, which suits the widest range of sleepers. If you need a firmer or softer feel, check the mattress spec in the listing — thickness and density are listed for every option.

Do packages include a bed base?

Some do, some don't — it depends on the frame design. Platform frames have built-in slats or a solid base, so the mattress sits directly on them. If the listing mentions an ensemble base, that's a fabric-covered box that acts as both the support and the base, and the mattress goes straight on top. Either way, you won't need to buy a separate bed base unless the listing says otherwise.

What to check before ordering

If you already own bedside tables or a wardrobe, check the finish description in the package listing — most list the colour as a code (like "Sonoma Oak" or "Charcoal") so you can match your existing pieces. Assembly is required on most packages; two people make it easier, and a cordless drill speeds up the bolts. Keep the packaging for 15 days in case you need to return.

What to check before ordering

Measure your room first — a queen frame typically needs a space of at least 3 × 3.5 metres to leave room for walking and bedside tables. Check the weight capacity listed on the frame, especially for king packages where two adults plus a mattress can push past 250 kg.
