How many doors do you need?

The door count roughly matches the storage inside. A 2 door wardrobe suits one person or a smaller room, with a single hanging section. A 3 door wardrobe holds more, often mixing hanging space with shelves and drawers, and suits a couple or someone with lots of clothes. More doors mean more width, so measure the wall first. Think about what you hang versus fold: mostly hanging needs a tall single rail, while folded clothes need shelves and drawers, so check the internal layout, not just the door count.

Should you get a wardrobe with a mirror?

A mirror wardrobe has one or more mirrored doors, which does two jobs at once. It gives you a full-length mirror to dress in front of without needing a separate one, saving space in a smaller room. It also bounces light around and makes the room feel bigger. The trade-off is mirrored doors show fingerprints and need occasional wiping. If the room lacks a full-length mirror or feels small, a mirror wardrobe earns its place; if you already have a mirror, a plain or timber front is fine.
