When it's exposed to the elements, it naturally develops a rust-coloured protective layer that actually works against further corrosion. One thing worth knowing before it arrives: the planter will have a standard metal finish when you first get it — the rusty patina develops over time with weather exposure. If you're keen to speed that process up, a quick spray of soapy or salty water does the trick. Just be mindful of the developing rust layer around light-coloured clothing. The steel frame is solid and stable, making it a great raised bed for your favourite plants, flowers, or herbs. It doesn't include a base, so drainage is naturally sorted. Assembly is straightforward too — a manual is included to make the whole thing easy.
