HDDs in the 2.5" form factor are getting more and more popular as their storage capacity is growing. It is a logical consequence to employ them in servers. That's why ICY BOX offers a backplane that fits into 2x 5.25" unit bays and holds 8x 2.5" SATA/SAS HDDs or SSDs. The height of the HDDs may even be 15 mm, for greatest storage capacity.
This ICY BOX works reliably even with huge amounts of data being transfered. That's a great recommendation for the hard duty in RAID systems. Accordingly demanding is the layout of the cooling. While the aluminium casing cools a 70mm fan works silent and reliable. Everything is as solid and safe as you might know it from the ICY BOX backplanes for the "big ones".

We don't place many restrictions on returns (see full returns and cancellations policy Below  however if you decide you wish to cancel or return an order the return shipping costs must be paid by you. (Excluding warranty items or any cases we make an error). For the most cost effective returns on items up to 25kg and up to 1.2M at the longest point we recommend www.sendle.com.au

Cancellations of "pay over time" orders may incur a cancellation fee as some providers do not refund merchant fees. We only charge the amount we are charged.

For your protection we offer free transit insurance on all orders. Should your item arrive damaged please let us know so we can provide you with the claims procedure. 

Returns of larger items can be very expensive so please choose carefully. We are here to help with any questions you may have prior to ordering.
